We’ve fallen on our feet somewhat with the wonderful team of coffee lovers we’re surrounded with at Horsebox Coffee Company. The love for coffee runs deep, one way or another. We’ve worked with coffee for a combined number of years we’d rather not share! We’ve been drinking it for even longer and, what’s more, we really love working together.
Together we bring knowledge, experience and skills from the worlds of speciality coffee and hospitality to curate a collection of coffee, workshops and services that reflect our commitment to the wholesome coffee movement.
Emily fell in love with the wonderful world of coffee whilst heading up training and operations for a new café concept back in the nineties. She went on to become a member of the Speciality Coffee Association and was lucky enough to visit coffee origin before pursuing a career as an independent barista and trainer. During this time she diligently studied green coffee, processing and roasting. Through Horsebox Coffee Co. she is enjoying developing direct relationships with coffee growers, perfecting her roasting skills and further exploring the diversity of coffee. She loves supporting and working with wholesale partners and being part of a local foodie community.
Martin has helped us out at Horsebox Coffee Co. since day one. He is our engineering genius. Always on hand for our new installations or to restore and supply second hand equipment. He is super-efficient with preventative maintenance and servicing to keep everything running smoothly for our wholesale partners. Martin has been working in coffee equipment engineering for decades and he has picked up a lot more than the nuts and bolts of it all. He is a big coffee fan, caring about quality and flavour too.
David, now semi-retired after a long career as a chef, is our very talented baker and the creator of the legendary ‘Horsebox Brownie’. Having lived for many years in Italy, he is a big fan of espresso. He also has a fine palate for the nuances of good wines and whiskies and as such is part of our selection and quality control process.
Felipa has been a supporter of Horsebox Coffee Co. since our first event in 2015. Felipa’s background is in PA and admin roles but she is very much into flavours and coffee shop culture. She has come on board to keep the roastery organised and help us look after our customers.
Emma is a super barista, having worked in numerous cafés from busy contract catering sites to a speciality roastery café. Emma got into coffee whilst travelling and working in cafés abroad and has continued to develope her knowledge and skills with us at here at Horsebox Coffee Co.
